Resilient Neighborhoods Program: Resilient Neighborhoods conducts free webinar workshops that help Marin residents save money, reduce their carbon footprint, and prepare for emergencies. Teams of 8 to 15 households meet five times over a 2-month period, with several series scheduled each year. All that is needed to participate is a computer, access to utility bills, and a desire to join with other community members to create a better future
Electrify Marin: Marin County's resource hub for building electrification and energy efficiency. The County also offers rebates to single family property owners for the replacement of natural gas appliances with efficient all-electric units, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges and cooktops. County staff are available help guide residents through the process of planning for electrification and identifying incentives.
MCE Deep Green: Local electricity provider MCE Clean Energy offers a 100% renewable energy option, for only about $5 more a month for the average residential customer. Opt up to power your home with 100% clean electricity.
Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM): TAM coordinates the diverse mix of projects and programs that are necessary for improving overall mobility, including roads, highways, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, transit and alternative commute options. TAM programs include:
Marin Commutes, which provides resources for green commuting options
Safe Routes to School, which promotes safe, alternative commutes to school.
Emergency Ride Home, which reimburses emergency rides home for anyone who works in Marin County and uses an alternative transportation option, such as carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, and walking
Zero Waste Marin: Learn how to properly dispose of items and eliminate waste. Check out their Recycling Guide for hard- to-recycle and bulky items and other zero waste resources.
Marin Climate and Energy Partnership (MCEP): MCEP is a partnership of all Marin cities and towns, the County of Marin, and the public agencies that serve Marin. Visit their “What You Can Do” page for steps to make your household more sustainable.
Marin Water: Residents of Tiburon are served by Marin Water, which promotes water conservation through education, programs, and incentives. These include:
Free water-efficient fixtures including hose shutoff nozzles, faucet aerators, showerheads, shower timers and leak detection dye tablets
