Arts

The Heritage & Arts Commission is dedicated to the support and presentation of local artists on the Tiburon Peninsula and Southern Marin. The Commission encourages and sponsors art programs and events which are self-supporting in nature and coordinates joint events with the Town Council, commissions and other organizations. Six 2-month long art exhibits are held per year and the Commission receives 25% of the sale from any artwork. These funds go back into the community in support of public art or historic projects.

Town Hall has two gallery spaces. The Atrium Gallery is in the lobby of Town Hall, including the entrance to the Town Council Chambers, and is currently dedicated to emerging artist collectives from historically underrepresented communities. The Community Gallery is on the second floor and features a view looking out onto the Tiburon ridge line and gallery lighting. Open receptions are held in both spaces to introduce the artists and their work.
