The meeting will be held in person and will be televised live on Zoom. Members of the public have the option of participating in-person or remotely via Zoom by following the instructions on the meeting agenda.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Tiburon Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider and make a recommendation to the Town Council regarding a General Plan Amendment to adopt revisions to the 2023-2031 Housing Element of the General Plan that was adopted on May 22, 2023, including proposed programs to promote the construction of housing throughout the eight-year planning period consistent with the provisions of State law. The draft revisions to the Housing Element discuss physical characteristics and constraints to development of sites that are currently zoned or planned to be rezoned to meet State-mandated housing projections (Regional Housing Needs Allocation, or RHNA) for the Town of Tiburon over the 2023-2031 planning period. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Town Council regarding adoption of the draft revisions to the Housing Element. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT: The Town, on May 22, 2023 certified the EIR. The Final EIR can be found online at https://createtiburon2040.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Tiburon-GP-2040-Final-EIR.pdf. The Final EIR identifies significant and unavoidable impacts in the following topic areas: Air Quality; Greenhouse Gas Emissions; Transportation; and Utilities and Service Systems. The Final EIR identifies potentially significant environmental impacts that can be mitigated to a less than significant level in the following categories: Air Quality; Geology, Soils, and Seismicity; and Noise. The Final EIR identifies less than significant environmental impacts in the following categories: Aesthetics, Light, and Glare; Air Quality; Biological Resources; Cultural Resources and Tribal Cultural Resources; Energy; Geology, Soils, and Seismicity; Greenhouse Gas Emissions; Hazards and Hazardous Materials; Hydrology and Water Quality; Land Use; Noise; Public Service and Recreation; Transportation; Utilities and Service Systems; and Wildfire. The Final EIR identifies no environmental impacts in the following categories: Aesthetics, Light, and Glare; Population and Housing; and Transportation.
