On June 17, 2020, the Town Council approved the Tiburon ’Slow Street’ proposal. Tiburon Slow Street will close Main Street to through vehicular traffic over the weekends (Friday afternoon - Sunday evening) this summer. The first Slow Street weekend will be July 3.
Slow Street is intended to create more passive space for physical distancing, allowing people to more comfortably use the street for physically-distant walking, dining, and shopping. Slow Street visitors should always maintain a 6-foot separation from others and wear a face covering at all times unless seated for dining.
Corinthian Yacht Club and Corinthian Island will be accessible via Ark Row, and drivers are encouraged to drive slowly and safely, and to expect to see pedestrians and bikers along the streets.
The Town and the Chamber of Commerce encourage community members to share their feedback. Email your feedback to info@tiburonchamber.org.
