The Bay Area, including Tiburon, is at high risk for major earthquakes, floods, fires, and Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS). Disaster professionals say the most important thing you and your family can do in response to disaster is be prepared.
The Tiburon Peninsula Office of Emergency Services offers a disaster preparedness course called GetReady94920 to educate peninsula residents how to best prepare themselves for potential disaster, including disaster survival knowledge, instruction on creating your own survival kit, and tips on protecting against the disasters we are most likely to see on the Tiburon Peninsula. Classes are free.
In-person classes are temporarily on hold, but it is still as important as ever to Get Ready. Tiburon Police and the Office of Emergency Services are excited to announce a virtual Get Ready course (YouTube). Let us know what you think, or what other information or tips you would like to see.
