Mission & Services

The mission of the Tiburon Heritage & Arts Commission is to preserve and advance the Town's unique historic and cultural character and to advance the arts in the community. Historically, the Commission has overseen the appropriate selection, placement, modification and maintenance of art and historic objects on the Tiburon Peninsula. More information about the Commission's heritage work can be found on the Heritage page.

As Tiburon history is now well documented and protected, the Commission has moved more deeply into the mission of promoting and supporting the local artistic community. For more information on the arts, visit the Arts and New & Ongoing Projects pages.

Recognizing the commitment and talent of our local citizens is of paramount importance to the Commission. The Heritage & Arts Commission nominates and awards individuals and groups twice a year. Detailed award information can be found on the Awards page.
