The Heritage & Arts Commission is pleased to announce an opening for the prestigious position of Artist Laureate! A Laureate is one who is honored for achievements in the arts and is often crowned with laurels as a sign of the that honor.
Any artist interested in this unique opportunity must be a resident of Tiburon or Belvedere, and be willing to contribute to the community through their works. Submissions will be accepted until August 31, 2024.
The chosen Artist Laureate will be appointed at a Town Council meeting this fall. As part of the ceremony, the new Artist Laureate will be bestowed upon a traditional and symbolic laurel as a sign of the office.
