The Housing Element is one of the required elements of the General Plan and provides a roadmap to address and plan for housing in the community.
The Town's first draft Housing Element was submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on September 27, 2022, beginning a 90-day review period by HCD to ensure compliance with state law. HCD reviewed the Town's submittal and submitted comments back to the Town on requested amendments. Read HCD's first comment letter.
The Town submitted a second draft of the Housing Element to HCD on February 16, 2023, and has now received comments back from HCD on the second draft. Read HCD's second comment letter.
