Tiburon Town Council will hold public hearings to consider an ordinance that would make amendments to Title IV, Chapter 13E (Water Efficient Landscape) of the Tiburon Municipal Code. The Town’s current Water Efficient Landscape regulations would be modified to adopt by reference the most current Marin Municipal Water District ordinance (Ordinance No. 430) provisions regarding water-efficient landscapes and water conservation. The primary changes include: 1) increased water efficiency standards for new and retrofitted landscapes through more efficient irrigation systems; 2) graywater usage; and 3) limitation on turf and high-water-use plants.
The public hearings will be held at the Town Council Chambers, 1505 Tiburon Boulevard, Tiburon, California. The Town Council will meet on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 and on June 1, 2016. The meetings will commence at 7:30 PM.
Copies of the draft ordinance is available for review in Tiburon Town Hall, at the Tiburon Town Clerk’s office, 1505 Tiburon Boulevard, during regular Town Hall business hours. All interested persons may appear and be heard at the public hearings or may submit written comments prior to the hearings.
