Chipper Days are Back this Summer! The first Chipper Day of the season is Saturday, May 10 at Blackie's Pasture from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Residents of the Tiburon Peninsula may drive their vegetation cuttings and "slash" – as well as tree stumps of any size - to the dirt parking lot at Blackie's Pasture for removal by the Tiburon Fire Protection District & Tiburon Public Works.
To meet the Marin County Community Wildfire Preparedness Plan goal to remove overgrowth and create defensible space for residents of the Peninsula, these events serve to continue to make our area better protected against wildfire. The season for vegetation management is already here and dry conditions are expected for the rest of the year. Get ahead of it this year and be proactive for you, your neighbors, and your community!
Chipper Days are always the second Saturday of the month from May through September.
The full 2025 schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, May 10, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 14, 2025 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 12, 2025 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 9, 2025 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 13, 2025 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Chipper Day Fun Fact
Last year, the Tiburon Peninsula community proved they were truly Chipper Champions and dropped off almost 450,000 pounds of vegetation trimmings! And, since Chipper Day’s inception in 2019, we have collected over 2.3 million pounds total! 🌿
