How it Works
- As a part of this workshop, you'll become a member of an online Climate Action Team that meets five times over eight weeks. Meetings are 90 minutes.
- You'll start by calculating your starting household carbon footprint, and then take effective, measurable, and money-saving actions to reduce it by at least 5,000 annual carbon pounds of emissions by the end of the program. You'll also gain Resilience Points for actions that increase the household and community resiliency.
- We will provide you with an online Personalized Climate Action Plan with a menu of over 100 actions to choose from, such as trimming household energy and waste, making smarter shopping choices, shifting to renewable energy, conserving water, utilizing low-carbon transportation, and more. You'll learn about rebates and other incentives available now for energy efficient home improvements.
- In addition to reducing your carbon footprint, you'll learn how to adapt to the growing effects of climate change. The workshop covers preparing for climate-linked emergencies, such as wildfires, droughts, and power outages, and building a stronger, safer, and more equitable community.
- If you need to miss a meeting or two, you can watch the Zoom recording.
What you'll receive
