The POST Commission will also consider an Initial Study and draft Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project. Based upon the findings of the Initial Study, Town staff is recommending that a Mitigated Negative Declaration be adopted for the project pursuant to Section 21080 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration would indicate that the project would not result in any significant adverse effects on the environment once identified mitigation measures are imposed on the project. The role of the POST Commission at the meeting is to consider making a recommendation to the Town Council regarding the Tree Permit and to consider the Initial Study and draft Mitigated Negative Declaration in making its recommendation.
