The Housing Element is one of the required elements of the General Plan and provides a roadmap to address and plan for housing in the community. The Town's first draft Housing Element was submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) last fall.
HCD completed its review of the Town's first draft and submitted comments back to the Town for required revisions. Staff presented a revised draft Housing Element to the Town Council on January 18 and January 25, 2023, and the Town Council has now authorized resubmission of the Housing Element to HCD.
