Last week, the Tiburon Town Council introduced a new ordinance that would require class 2 e-bike riders to be 16+ and requires class 2 e-bike riders of all ages to wear a helmet.
The ordinance matches an ordinance introduced by the County of Marin in March that would aim for all cities and towns in Marin to implement the same provisions of AB 1778. If adopted, Tiburon's local ordinance would become effective on July 1, 2025.
