The Town of Tiburon’s Heritage & Arts Commission announces a special exhibition featuring works from the Marin City Arts and Culture artist collective, running through April. There will be an opening reception with opportunities to meet the artists on Tuesday, March 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Under the direction of dancer and poet Oshalla Diana Marcus, the member-based collective celebrates Black artists, fosters creative connections across communities, and has a vital role as a gathering place for artistic expression, community connection, and intergenerational cultural celebration. The MC Arts & Culture center is located in the Marin Gateway Shopping Center at 100 Donohue Street in Marin City.
Artists exhibiting at the Town Hall are Robert Hightower, Zwanda, Asya Abdrahman, and Olubori Babaoye.
The Town Hall exhibition will run through April 2025 and is free to the public during regular Town Hall hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 🎨
