This meeting is being hosted by Marin Conservation League's Climate Action Working Group and will be held on February 19th from 10am - 12pm either on Zoom or in person at 175 N. Redwood Drive, Suite 135 in San Rafael

Meet the Sustainability Staff working for several of Marin’s towns: Phoebe Gouldon for Corte Madera, Bridget Wipfler for San Anselmo/Fairfax and Grace Ledwith for Mill Valley/Tiburon. We will hear about their goals for 2025, how they coordinate their work, and how Marin citizens can help them meet their towns climate action plans.

  • Phoebe Goulden is the Climate Action and Adaptation Coordinator for the Town of Corte Madera, a position she has held since December 2022. She leads a variety of efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for climate impacts in Town, ranging from green building code adoption and public EV charging station installation, to community outreach in shoreline neighborhoods regarding flooding impacts. Prior to working for the Town, Phoebe led the development of the Sebastopol Climate Action Framework as a CivicSpark Fellow for the City of Sebastopol. Phoebe has a B.S. in Environmental Sciences, and minors in Public Policy and Spanish, from U.C. Berkeley.
  • Bridget Wipfler is the Climate Action Coordinator for the Towns of San Anselmo and Fairfax. She works collaboratively with town staff and community members to reduce both municipal and residential carbon emissions. Her projects include implementing SB 1383, the state's organics recycling law, updating San Anselmo's General Plan, planning for holistic e-mobility and active transportation, and refreshing the towns' green building codes. Before this position, Bridget served as a CivicSpark fellow with the City of Redmond, where she implemented their Environmental Sustainability Action Plan. She earned her degree in Community, Environment, and Planning from the University of Washington, with minors in Urban Ecological Design and Comparative History.
  • Grace Ledwith (she/her) is the joint Climate Action Coordinator for the City of Mill Valley and the Town of Tiburon, where she leads efforts to implement measures outlined in their respective Climate Action Plans. She stepped into this role in the summer of 2023 and currently chairs the Marin Climate and Energy Partnership. Grace holds a bachelor's degree in environmental economics and policy from the University of California, Berkeley with a professional background in environmental programming for various conservation organizations. She is passionate about the intersection of equity, climate action, and economic development.

In the second hour of the meeting there will be an open discussion about what actions members can advocate for and take, and what they want from Climate Action Working Group during 2025.
